Trekking and MTB in Tuscany

Not only food. Tuscany hosts International sport events, here you are two of the main appointments in the Grosseto area planned for the coming weeks:

Jumping Etruscan Tour 2012 (Follonica, weekends from 2 to 18 March 2012). The hippodrome dei Pini of  Follonica hosted, in the first three weekends of March, the Etruscan Tour Jumping, international show-jumping horse race which sees athletes from 20 countries including Australia, Japan, Israel, Europe and North America (more details on follonicaequijump.it)

Maremma Bike Trophy 2012 (Follonica, April 22). Now in its XXIV edition, this race of MTB is one of the oldest in Italy. Departure from Follonica and dirt route in the Montioni park. A nice, fast and fun way changed in 2010 to make it smoother and less dangerous.

If you prefer to be more “active”, you can explore and discover the beautiful area thanks to trekking or cover the distance in MTB!

La Cianella farm is located in Scarlino, in the hearth of Maremma and Tuscany, is the ideal point of departure for excursions (with a little training you can reach the sea) and offers to bikers services and information about the routes.

Close to the sea and to the main tourist centers, La Cianella allows guest to be surrounded by classic Tuscan hills and in the same time to be very close to main events. That’s the reason why some athletes of Jumping Etruscan Tour chosen La Cianella as foothold during the competition.
